Russell and Norha Wells are the:

Directors of Women's and Children's Ministries Promise Home Honduras

As well as the

Founders of Going Bananas International Inc.

Russell an Air Force veteran of over 23 years,plus 3 years with Survice Engineering. He grew up in the Seattle, Washington area.

Norha was born and raised in Haiti. She came to the U.S. as a teen, went to college at the University of Miami, built her business and made her career in the Miami metro area. 

They met, married and raised their family in N.W. Florida. They call Crestview, Florida their home. God placed a call on their lives while on a mission trip to an Orphanage in the mountains of Jamaica in 2012. God confirmed this call through prayers and His guidance. Most specifically He let them know through what was named The Banana Story. A story directly linking their call to Ecuador and Honduras and to His will on their lives.  

They are very interested in telling you the Banana Story, it’s a great story! The Lord didn’t just give it to them; He gave it to them to share with all. Don’t hesitate to contact them; they would love to share the Banana Story with you.

2016 they started their missionary life in Costa Rica, then 2017 in Machala, a small city in the south of Ecuador, with 241,000 people. A significant portion of that population makes less $1/day. This is not something unknown to the world, but God had them working with children’s ministry. They were working in three locations/cities. They were the Ursesa Children’s Center, Machala and Pasaje Assemblies of God Churches. They grew the children’s ministry in Pasaje from only three children to almost 70 kids, helping with education, teaching English and most importantly, bringing them hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2018 brought the dawning of a new ministry in the capital city of Quito, Ecuador. God spoke directly to them, using the year in Machala as a stepping stone to another area for learning. Quito, EC is the capital city with 4.7 Million people and only 43 Evangelical churches. There are a lot of people to reach there. They served a local Church CEMAD, ministered to the locals, the broken hearted, the needy, the children of Ecuador, reached out with Prostitute Ministry, Urban Outreach, Medical Team, Construction Ministry, Medical Ministry and the list went on. 

2020 brought a new personal ministry. Norha was diagnosed with HER2+ Breast Cancer. God had HIS hand all over this ministry. Diagnosed inconceivably early, she had the most aggressive form of B.C. Doctors hurried her into surgeries and treatments despite Cov19 interfering. A full year of chemo, multiple surgeries, and prayers from the saints to the Almighty has brought us through this. She is Cancer Free!

2023 the Wells served in La Ceiba, Honduras. despite hardships and some racists  were still able to embrace the vulnerable, reach the overlooked. They focused on what God could do through them: chilren's ministries and reaching out to the unreached in  La Ceiba, oversaw a feeding program, sewed seeds, built relationships and invested into the community. The highlights were Norha worked with the Gaifuna women.  As well as continuing to work with the incredible Pastor Francisco, Pastora Bety and Family of Iglesia Amistad in La Ceiba, Honduras.

2024 Brought us full circle as we enbarked on our original God-Dream Journey. The Wells founded Going Bananas International Inc. whos mission is rooted in compassion and faith. They are dedicated to serving, uplifting, and empowering vulnerable communities, particularly orphaned children and single mothers facing adversity. They strive to provide comprehensive support encompassing education, nourishment, shelter, and, most importantly, hope and love. 

They have partnered with real Kingdom minded missionaries, ones that they consider truly amazing, that have similar hearts for the orphaned children.

The Wells are now Directors of Women's and Children's Ministries Promise Home

Promise Home wants to grow the kingdom by ministering to to the children of Honduras. A place of safety and growing the orphaned children of Honduras through God's word and the love of Jesus Christ.

​  Jesus told us in Mark 16:15 to “go into all the world and preach the good news”, and Romans 10:15 states “how shall they preach unless they are sent? ...” A difference can be made in one life at a time.
